French tennis player Gael Monfilswho has not been on the court since August 12, will not play at the Masters in Paris.
“Hi friends, as you saw on the stream this week, I am still limited in my travels to the court. So I can’t defend my chances at the Masters in Paris.
I will use the end of the year to prepare for the next season,” Elina Svitolina’s husband tweeted.
Last year, Monfils reached the third round in Paris, where he lost to eventual champion Novak Djokovic.
Gael played twice in the final of the home Masters (2009 and 2010), but never managed to take the title.
