Scorn has received update 184.108.40.206 on PC, coming to Xbox soon. It brings important new features, especially to the critically acclaimed aspect of the game, control point management.
For now, Ebb Software has only released the update on PC for the Steam and Epic Games Store versions, but it will soon be coming to Xbox Series X|S and GOG as well, and the update should basically be the same for everyone.
The 220.127.116.11 patch notes mention several changes and fixes. Specifically, new features include the removal of the “Load” and “Exit” options on the character death screen, the addition of a save slot security check for possible file corruption, and in particular the addition of a “Load Last Checkpoint” option that avoids getting stuck in especially difficult places.
The patch also mentions a “breakpoint update” which will likely improve breakpoint placement, an element that has been criticized. In addition to these elements, other aspects have been adjusted, such as the “location of certain assets”.
Various fixes also address location issues, FOV issues on ultra-wide screens, ammo and medicine placement, and other bugs.
