Developers Need for Speed Unbound talked about the customization of drivers and cars in their new race.
In the character editor, you can customize many elements of the model, including the size and shape of the head, skin color, eyes, hair, and even voice. The choice will provide different hairstyles, beards, tattoos and other various details like glasses.
Sets of different brands will appear in the wardrobe, but you can choose the details of the clothes yourself – T-shirts, shorts, boots, hats, and so on. If necessary, the style changes at the base, and even the drivers have their own special poses.
Additional options for the design of the appearance will be opened in the process of passing the project.
Users will have two main categories of car settings, each of which will provide a huge number of options – one is related to the appearance, and the other is dedicated to the filling of the car. In addition, you can buy, sell and view a collection of your “iron horses”.
There are pre-created styles for the appearance of the car, but the player will be allowed to update each part separately for themselves – on some cars, you can remove or add additional elements by changing the shape.
Almost all elements are subject to tuning, including wheels, tires, windows, lights, license plates and so on. The same applies to other external details like lighting and even individual car sounds.
Racers can expect a huge number of options for coloring and stickers of various brands, and over time the list will also expand. The results of the work can be shared with the community of players, though only on their own platform.
There will also be some “Legendary” customization options that will be unique, changing the very silhouette of the cars. And colorful graphic effects (divided into two categories), as it was known earlier, can not only be configured, but also disabled.
This level of customization is also relevant for internal settings; almost any part of the car is subject to replacement. Suspensions, brakes, engines, turbos, fuel systems and the like.
Features with gadgets will also appear – such as increased damage in a collision or a radio jammer. There will be options for adjusting control, skidding, and so on. Additional details are opened along with pumping your own garage.
Release Need for Speed Unbound scheduled for December 2 for PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.
