It should also be noted that this is Xiaomi’s proprietary technology and not a standard established by the Power Delivery consortium such as USB-PD, a standard charging at 50V and 5A, capable of reaching, at the moment only on paper, a power of 240 W.
Xiaomi has chosen here to keep the voltage relatively low – 20 V – a fairly common value for the current standard. In addition, Xiaomi later splits the power into three channels of 20V at 3.5A each.
Therefore, it distributes the 210 W over three channels, resulting in an approximate power of 70 W, each of these channels having a maximum safety ceiling of 100 W.
