Are there more adequate people than the studio expected?
Participants in the subreddit of the online shooter Overwatch 2 said that Blizzard began sending out surveys about the monetization system for this game. The developers want to ask gamers about how satisfied they are with micropayments and a battle pass with a new system for obtaining internal currency.
Blizzard asks players the following questions:
Why did you buy the Observation Post set? What version of the battle pass are you using? Why did you decide to buy the premium version of the battle pass? Have you made any cosmetic purchases with Overwatch Coins? Why did you stop shopping?
Blizzard itself is in no hurry to clarify why polls for Overwatch 2 began to be sent, but it is not so difficult to guess the nature of such actions. And I don’t even want to pick up words, because the studio has significantly tightened the monetization of the project, removed the “loot boxes” with the ability to get the desired character looks in an acceptable time frame.
Getting the right “skin” in Overwatch 2 without making micropayments is almost impossible for a beginner. And the recent news about a virtual keychain that turned out to be more expensive than its real version simply sums up our moderately short “speech” about the incredible greed and arrogance of today’s Blizzard.

With the company that gave us WarCraft 3 and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, the current “stronghold of inclusion” has nothing to do. It’s time to admit it and, as they say, move on.
