While there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, it looks like RE4 Remake could be coming to Xbox One as well. If you go to Resident Evil portal and go to the Resident Evil 4 Remake page, all available platforms will be listed there. And surprisingly, the Xbox One is one of them. But Capcom has already removed the Xbox One, was that a mistake, or is it just that Capcom and PlayStation have a promotional deal?
Previously, there was already news that a listing for a remake of Resident Evil 4 for Xbox One appeared on Amazon. But the ad was later removed, indicating a possible mistake. But this new development left many wondering if it was really a mistake or if it really was. If Capcom was able to optimize the game for PS4, then doing the same for Xbox One would not be difficult. The only question is, can they do it?
Before Capcom removed all references to the Xbox One icon, you could click on the official Resident Evil 4 remake website, but there was no mention of the Xbox One either. Of course, Capcom did not comment on the situation. And if an Xbox One version is indeed planned, then it’s possible that we’ll hear about it in the future.
The Resident Evil 4 remake will continue the line of RE 2 and 3 remakes. Given that Capacom has been a huge success with both games, repeating the formula could give us another masterpiece. Resident Evil 4 is considered the best in the franchise, and the developers will try to keep this opinion.
The trailer shows us brand new looks for Leon, Ashley, Ada Wong and more. The game will also retain the iconic over-the-shoulder camera angle that we all loved back in the day. In addition, the game will have modern visuals, improved controls and new mechanics, just like in the RE2 and 3 remakes.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will release on March 24, 2023. The list of confirmed platforms so far includes PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
