Myst itself was “remade” last year.
Monday is usually a heavy day for gaming news, but some worthy material does appear. For example, the Cyan studio today officially announced a remake of the Riven quest, which is a continuation of the once popular quest Myst, an updated version of which, in turn, was released last year.
Although the updated Riven is technically called a remake, in reality there are much more changes in it than this status implies. So, the remake will please with a fully three-dimensional space with free movement in it, while the original was a point-and-click project. On the one hand, this is good, but on the other hand, it once again brings confusion to the definition of a remake.
