Announced during theXbox Showcase July 2020, the reboot of Fable by Playground Games it immediately disappeared from the radar after the first teaser trailer, and very little information was released in the following two years.
According to an update by Jez Corden dating back to last June, the development of Fable is progressing well and over the months the development team has expanded by welcoming several professionals in the videogame sector. The latest to join is Andrew Welshformer member of Guerrilla Games and known for serving as Senior Writer for Horizon Forbidden Westas well as being Associative Narrative Director for Horizon Call of the Mountainfreelance work.
Welsh has confirmed on LinkedIn that he has joined Playground Games to continue the development of the next Fable game, although for the moment he has not specified what specific role he will play within the project. Given his background, however, it is highly likely that he will help shape the narrative of the expected RPG.
For the rest it continues to be unclear at what point the work on the game is, presumably still far from its publication: Fable will be reviewed when it is ready, in the meantime that Playground continues to work constantly to bring the beloved franchise back to the scene. Xbox in the best way.
