Pokémon GO game news: the terrible disappointment of this player who had given himself the challenge of capturing only Pikachu

In 2016, Niantic recycled the concept of its Ingress game, and partnered with The Pokémon Company to launch Pokémon Go on mobile. On the program: capturing pokemon in augmented reality, remarkable places transformed into virtual arenas, microtransactions, multiplayer, and many events.
Pokémon GO: a huge and undeniable success
Over the years, Pokémon GO has only grown, adding always more events virtual and in real life, pokemons, objects and options. We remember human tides at launch when a rare Pokémon appeared, but also from some miscellaneous facts linked to the players’ passion for the title.
Once the launch passed, the title lost a lot of players before regaining millions, in particular thanks to new features and a better connection with the rest of the license. Niantic has even adapted to the pandemic, allowing players to continue their quests from home. Chromatic, legendary and fabulous pokemon are present, players continue to fight for arenas, some mechanics such as Mega-Evolution have been implemented and the follow-up shows that the title continues to brew a lot of money and attract players.
In July 2021, Niantic reported that the game had generated over $5 billion. In addition, it is now possible to transfer pokemon from the application to Pokemon Homeand therefore to complete its National Pokédex without necessarily completing each “classic” game.
A Zorua ruins an ongoing challenge for 5 years!
We no longer count the number of players who have captured tens of thousands of pokemonwho have circumnavigated the planet three times in terms of recorded steps or even the success of Pokémon Go Fest, but today’s story is almost sad. As you may know, Zorua and Zoroark can now spawn all over the world, in full phase 2 of the Halloween event.
First appeared in Generation 5 (Pokémon Black and White, Black and White 2), Zorua can appear as another pokemon, since according to the description made of it, he loves to dress up. A little twist that cost a Japanese player a lot of money called UltipZ_ingress. The latter, which launched on Pokémon GO on September 17, 2017, had decided to only capture Pikachu. It didn’t matter what shape or gender it was, as long as it was a Pikachu, a Pokéball was thrown. Unfortunately, after more than 5 years of pursuing its challenge, UltipZ_ingress got tricked by a Zorua disguised as Pikachu.
A caught Pikachu suddenly transforms into another Pokémon.

The Pikachu I caught suddenly turned into another Pokemon. I started playing Pokémon GO on September 17, 2017 with the restriction of only catching Pikachu, but due to an unexpected event, my life as a trainer came to an end.
Extremely disappointed to have been fooled so “stupidly”, he had therefore indicated that he stopped playing the game. He finally returned the next day, remotivated by all support messages received during the night, declaring that he would like to start a “second life as a trainer”:
Thank you for all your comments and reviews. (…) I calmed down and this incident was nothing but my fault due to insufficient information gathering. The first trainer life is over, but I would like to start a second trainer life. Thank you for your support despite my situation.
We obviously wish him many good hours of play on the title, and not to be fooled by a slightly teasing pokemon. As a reminder, the news of Pokémon Go is the event linked to Halloween, but also a 75-year-old player who found himself in prison for having fought with another player because of an arena.
