During a recent interview, the gaming division boss of Microsoft admitted that he made Xbox users wait too long for a new exclusive first party.
Phil Spencer has in fact participated in the last episode of the podcast in video format that takes the name of Same Brainduring which he made some very interesting statements on the trend of Xbox Game Studios and on the critical issues most cited by users.
Here is an excerpt from Spencer’s words:
“If there is one thing we have understood it is that it has been too long since the last big first party title to hit the market. We may have our reasons due to Covid and other situations, but in the end we know very well that people invest in our platform and claim successful games. “
“We are very happy for 2023 and have talked a lot about the upcoming titles. These games are progressing very well in development and it seems that the impact of Covid on the roadmap is now nil.”
“Just look to next year to see the great line-up of games coming up. We are releasing our first Bethesda first party titles, Starfield and Redfall. It will be a lot of fun.”
In short, the Xbox boss knows how gamers are eager for new exclusives and it would seem that the period of absence of first party titles is about to end. After Scorn (third-party exclusive), it will arrive in fact Repentance of Obsidian and next year we will also see the arrival on Game Pass of Starfield e RedFallthe first two Bethesda games to be released after the acquisition.
Did you know that Microsoft loses $ 100/200 for every Xbox sold, according to Spencer’s words?
