Last week, Xiaomi unveiled its new Redmi Note 12 Explorer smartphone that comes with 210-watt fast charging support.
The Chinese brand claims that the model fully charges in just 9 minutes, but independent tests reveal that the Note 12 Explorer fails this time, but by just over a minute.

Recently, Xiaomi introduced its first smartphone with support for 210-watt super fast charging, which allows you to fully charge the battery in nine minutes. For that reason, the Redmi Note 12 Explorer has focused the attention of the high-tech world on itself.
Today it is news that after all the new Redmi model fails the announced charging times. In independent tests by Charger Labs, the Redmi terminal took 10 minutes and 10 seconds to reach 100%.
It’s a minor flaw, since the brand advertises just minus a minute and 10 seconds. But another discovery made by Charger Labs is that the model can reach a peak charging power of 184.85 watts in about three minutes.
Once again, we are not exactly in the values announced by the brand, but we are talking about a power well above the 120 watts, present in the most advanced models of each brand.
Redmi Note 12 Explorer does not heat up as much as the iPhone 14 Pro Max
However, Charger Labs also points out that the Redmi Note 12 Explorer never generates much heat during charging. Which is great news for Xiaomi.
Better: the Redmi model, when charging, reaches a maximum temperature of 43.3ºC while the iPhone 14 Pro Max reaches 45.8ºC on its much less impressive 29 watt charging stand.
