Haven’t received the Extraordinary Support of €125 yet? Calm down, the tax authorities will try to make the payment more often during the next 6 months. However, it is a good idea to check that everything is ok on your side, to finally receive the money.
According to what has now become public, more than 120 thousand transfers failed due to invalid IBAN.
125€ from Costa: Didn’t receive it? The problem is in the IBAN!
Therefore, the first payment phase ended yesterday, October 31st. Therefore, it is already possible to draw some conclusions from the whole process. Of course, this also means that if you haven’t received the money yet, you have problems to resolve. Go check your IBAN on the finance portal as soon as possible.
In case you didn’t know, the Tax Authority failed to process more than 120,000 transfers out of four million, purely and simply because the IBAN was invalid, or the field was empty (after some problems with platform updates).
However, as we said above, the tax authority will continue to try to transfer the €125 of extraordinary support over the next six months. Thus, those who have not yet updated their IBAN can still do so! Especially as this may well not be the last extraordinary support ‘offered’ by the Portuguese Government.
Understand the payment process!
So if you go to Finance Portal, hereand search for “Extraordinary Support“, you will reach a page created for this purpose, where you will find information on whether or not you are entitled to €125 of aid to combat inflation, and of course, how the payment status is.
