The Samsung Galaxy S23 will be the next Android tops of the South Korean technology. Your presentation could take place earlier than usual, with an announcement even before 2022 comes to an end.
The growing number of information leaks about these devices attests to the proximity of their presentation. This time, we have the first images of their screen protectors revealing important details of the Galaxy S23.
Samsung Galaxy S23 arrive soon without major differences from the Galaxy S22
The images were shared by Ice Universe after having collected several images of these protectors in the Chinese blogosphere. These are images that allow us to understand in advance what the screens of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 will look like.
As several rumors claim, there will be no major aesthetic differences between the brand’s next generation of tops and the current one. Note, first of all, the protector of the Galaxy S23 Ultra and the almost nothing that changes compared to the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
We still have a large screen with slightly curved edges on the sides. This will be the only model with asymmetrical margins, as the top and bottom margins will be slightly thicker than the sides.
We also have a small cutout or hole in the center of the screen to house the front camera of the equipment. In fact, this trait will be common to the three devices that will make up the Samsung Galaxy S23 line of smartphones.
Moving on to the base models – Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ – we observe uniform margins, with the same thickness on all edges. In addition, we don’t have curved sides, but flat ones, as with the current generation Galaxy S22.
It is curious to note that the Galaxy S23 appears to have slightly thicker edges than its brother Galaxy S23+. However, this detail may be just a glance due to the different size between these models.
Probable Galaxy S23 screen specs
The images now released tell us about the aesthetics of the screens for the Samsung Galaxy S23, but it is also interesting to know what their technical specifics will be like. Once again, don’t expect big changes.
For the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the best display available from Samsung is expected. This will be a Dynamic AMOLED with a diagonal of 6.8 inches, Quad-HD+ resolution and a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz.
This is still expected to be the only model to sport Samsung’s new generation of OLED panels with a peak brightness of 2000 nits. This feature was pioneered by the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max that use precisely these panels.
The Galaxy S23+ will feature a 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with Full-HD+ resolution. Its refresh rate will also be variable, but between 48 and 120 Hz. These characteristics will be shared by the Galaxy S23, with the exception of its diagonal, which should be 6.1 inches.
