Ecoflow has launched the River 2, its new range of entry-level powerstations. The River 2, River 2 Max and River 2 Pro support fast and solar charging and incorporate LFP batteries capable of lasting up to 10 years. NextPit presents these new powerstations in detail.

The Ecoflow River 2 is the new affordable powerstation from the Chinese manufacturer. It has a battery with a capacity of 256 Wh and an output power of up to 600 W. It weighs 3.5 kg and is more compact than the first River. In terms of ports, the River 2 has a dual AC outlet, a car DC outlet, a pair of full-size USB-A ports, and a USB-C port.
The more capable River 2 Max weighs almost double the classic model. However, it has additional AC and USB ports and a more powerful 512 Wh battery. It can produce up to 500W AC or 1000W with X-Boost mode.

The Ecoflow River 2 Pro is the most expensive of the trio, but it also has the highest capacity at 768 Wh. More importantly, the River 2 Pro has a standard power of 940 W AC, but it can be increased up to 1600 W. The powerstation remains easy to transport despite its weight of 7.8 kg.
According to Ecoflow, all River 2s have an estimated lifespan of 10 years. They can also retain 80% of their capacity after 3000 cycles, thanks to their LiFePO4 battery. The River 2 and River 2 Max can be fully charged in 1 hour and it will take just 10 minutes more for the River 2 Pro.

The Ecoflow River 2 and 2 Max are already available for sale in the United States, Europe and other countries. The River 2 costs 299 euros against 599 euros for the River 2 Max. As for the River 2 Pro, it will be launched later this year at a price of 799 euros.
