Since the 2018 opus, RPG mechanics have been implemented in the God of War saga: we regularly recover elements of armor or weapons, with different properties and looks. In Ragnarok, it will be possible to combine style and efficiency.
God of War Ragnarok is fast approaching and will finally sign the monstrously awaited return of Kratos and Atreus, after four years of absence. And even if there are only a few days left to wait, some crisp information continues to fall, here thanks to the official Discord of the game.
Kratos, fashion plate
This detail concerns the fact of “transmogrifying”: behind this barbaric name hides in reality the possibility of opting for an armor (or a piece of armor) in our possession to display on our character, while applying the abilities of another armor (also in our inventory). This option will be available in Ragnarok and it is also Mihir Sheith, the head of combat design, who confirmed it.
In other words, if you find the style of this or that armor to your liking, but the attributes of another suit you better, you can choose to combine the cosmetics and the effectiveness of the two. A feature that is now found in many titles and this new God of War will follow the trend.
The prominent muscles
We recall that God of War Ragnarok will be released on November 8 exclusively on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Like the previous titles, it is developed by Santa Monica, one of Sony’s flagship studios, but with a new director: Eric Williams. Cory Barlog, the man behind the 2018 episode and the whole new turn taken by the saga, nevertheless remains a producer.
We will therefore find Kratos and Atreus some time after the events of the previous soft, in new Nordic adventures: this time, they will be confronted with new Gods whose a certain Thor, visibly unhappy and determined to use a hammer against the God of War. Odin will also be there… and the Ragnarok could well point the tip of his nose. Anyway, see you in a few days.
