On the streets of Lakeshore, style isn’t just a vibe, it’s a way of life. Need for Speed Unbound will expand on the energy and flair at the heart of the franchise through a series of partnerships between Electronic Arts, Criterion Games and some of the world’s most influential fashion innovators. Pioneering brands including Palace Skateboards, Versace, Puma, Namilia, Danielle Guizio, ALPHA Industries, AWGE, Born x Raised, Brain Dead, Champion, EDWIN, FILA, GCDS, KHRISJOY, MKI MIYUKI ZOKU, NAPAPIJIRI, Vans and many more will be theirs bring unique, stylistic visions to life and will be available to fans in Need for Speed Unbound on December 2nd.
Need for Speed Unbound’s fashion collaborations were co-created by the game’s fashion director and editor-in-chief of UK culture magazine Wonderland Toni-Blaze Ibekwe. “Need for Speed Unbound presents a true visual identity for fans to express themselves and their style in-game,” says Ibekwe. “With these partnerships, we’re blurring the lines between physical and digital content, and most importantly, I hope players enjoy the freedom to express themselves through clothing and carry some of their ‘daring’ in-game choices into real life.”
Palace, Versace, Puma, Namilia and Danielle Guizio will integrate their iconic brands into the Need for Speed Unbound experience in bespoke collaborations, showcasing each of their ultra-modern styles, going beyond licensed player apparel:
Palace: For the trendsetters on the streets of Lakeshore City, the Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition in partnership with Palace Skateboards offers a variety of custom cars, gear and decals to spruce up their cars and outfits. Versace: An iconic fashion house that needs no introduction. Versace brings its renowned style to Need for Speed Unbound through an in-game rival, Medusa, bringing the Versace woman to life with rebellious energy and high-gloss glamor as a street racer, as well as ten pieces of clothing from jackets to sneakers available in-game will.
Puma: As a long-standing partner of the Need for Speed franchise and synonymous with “Forever Faster”, Puma brings the necessary speed with its in-game rival Chase with the special Porsche 911 GT3 RS in Puma guise. Players can also snag 13 more exclusive Puma in-game items including sweatpants, hoodie and jacket. A real-life and specially cured Puma x Need for Speed Unbound Capsule collection of shoes and apparel will be available at a later date.
Namilia: Driven by the revolutionary spirit of youth culture and the celebration of freedom and self-identity, Namilia will feature a selection of six play objects ranging from a coat to a corset. The Namila x NFS Collection features exclusive gear that will be revealed as the game’s release approaches.
Danielle Guizio: A luxury brand that reflects New York City’s subcultures, the collaboration with GUIZIO will feature in-game rival Harlow, sporting a custom Chevrolet Corvette Stingray wrapped with iconic branding. Players can also receive five exclusive GUIZIO in-game clothing items from their collection.
