November 2nd, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. by Philipp Sattler – If the previous WoW: Dragonflight login screen seems a bit boring to you, there is good news. In the latest beta build, the scenery has come to life with Alexstrasza himself fluttering across your screen!
The entire WoW: Dragonflight expansion is themed “The Dragon Islands Awaken”. So it seems a bit strange if we look at a more or less empty and deserted Valdrakken every time we log into the game. Apparently the developers saw it the same way and have started to fill the login screen with life. Similar to the cinematic for WoW: Dragonflight, it is Alexstrasza who first makes the air over the capital unsafe.
Although it is only a kite that flies around discreetly in the background, such a small thing ensures that the login screen, which previously seemed quite static, now feels much more alive.

Just the beginning?
A single dragon in the sky of the Dragon Islands looks somehow lonely and sad. As a result, many players are already speculating that this adjustment is just the beginning. And that would make perfect sense.
“The Dragon Isles Awaken” is also the name of the theme song for the upcoming expansion and will be played on the login screen. So it would be a good fit if the visual background supported this topic.

Over time, more dragons could appear with each build or patch, until Valdrakken is completely in the hands of the dragons again at the end of Dragonflight. That would be a novelty, since the login screens have not changed in the course of the expansion, but we would like it.
How do you like the login screen of WoW (Buy Now): Dragonflight and do you agree that Alexstrasza makes the scenery much more lively? Or would you not have needed them as an additional element and would you have been completely satisfied with the previous version (which is currently on the live servers)?
