Netflix renewed fantasy series “Sandman” for the second season – the premiere of the first took place in early August.
The work is based on a comic Neil Gaiman and talks about the lord of dreams Morpheus, which is trapped in a trap for years to come. When he gets out, he discovers that his kingdom is going through hard times, and personal items of power have disappeared.
The fate of the series raised questions among many fans, since a lot of time has passed since the release of the first episodes. Rumors about the cancellation even began to appear on the network, which Gaiman himself had to refute.
The account was the first to announce the renewal. DC Comics in Twitter, however, the announcement was made ahead of schedule and the post was deleted. Later, the information was officially confirmed by Netflix, but the release date for the sequel was not announced.
In the first week after the release, viewers watched almost 70 million hours of the series, in the second week the result exceeded 127 million hours, the third brought 77.2 million hours, and the fourth – 53.8 million hours. There is no more accurate viewing data from Netflix.
