After testing the Samsung Internet Browser 19.0 update in the beta channel for a few months, the Korean giant is now ready to release the latest version to the general public. That said, the Samsung Internet 19 is now available and with it comes a vast array of new security and privacy features, as well as improved widgets. That is, very good reasons to upgrade to the new version or even switch browsers if you haven’t tried this application yet.
Samsung Internet 19: the browser you really have to use
At the moment Samsung Internet 22.214.171.124 appears to be only available to some Galaxy device users. This means that the launch is taking place in a phased way and I should be finished in the next few days.
The list of changes mentions three new features right from the start.
So we have a new “Privacy Information” function accessible on all websites by clicking on the lock icon in the address bar.
In addition, Samsung widget users can now check their recent search history from the improved widgets that come with version 126.96.36.199.
Finally, add-ons are now available when using this browser in Secret Mode. To use this new feature, users will have to activate the “Allow in Secret Mode” option for each addon individually.
However, the news does not stop there. This is because Samsung has improved privacy and security.
Smart Anti-Tracking can now intelligently identify domains that use cross-site tracking. That said, the tool can now block access to cookies.
Furthermore, with Samsung Internet 19, users will be warned when they try to access known malicious websites.
Finally, Samsung Internet now allows third-party applications to provide filters to block content.
