Do you remember Pioner, the Russian FPS between Stalker and Metro? More than a year after the latest information on the project, the GFA Games team returns to social media to report that they are still committed to the development of this ambitious role-playing shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world.
The Russian developers give further confirmation by publishing a new gameplay video and a post on the official Pioner website. The GFA Games update informs us that the team, currently made up of 20 ‘on-site’ members and several freelancers, is shaping a huge post-apocalyptic scenario with 50 square kilometers of freely explorable territory.
The title, according to GFA, will propose several boss fights, a central hub represented by a city that escaped the nuclear apocalypse and the consequent radiation, many ‘mutant’ biomes with dungeons filled with rare equipmenta system of multiplayer factions and clans that will compete for control of the territories in which the map will be divided.
Unlike what has been announced in recent months, Pioner it will not be distributed as free to play but it will adopt the so-called ‘free to try’ formula, that is with a free trial that will allow players to access the servers of this MMOFPS for a limited period of time.
Leaving you to the new Pioner video, we remind you that recently the guys from Mundfish released an Atomic Heart gameplay trailer about boss battles.
