It has long been known that CEO David Zaslav is looking for a “Kevin Feige” style director of the DC Universe cinematic. He has now probably found a leadership in this sense. More specifically, it’s a duo: It was recently announced that Suicide Squad director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran will head up Warner Bros. Discovery’s DC film, television and animation division. This seems to not only please fans, but also the DC actors themselves. Aquaman actor Jason Momoa is definitely excited about what’s to come.
A dream come true for Jason Momoa
In a conversation with ET Canada Speaking about his upcoming Netflix fantasy adventure Slumberland, Momoa was asked if he had any idea what the DCU would expect under the direction of Gunn and Safran. He then revealed that one of his dreams would finally come true.
“I think with Peter Safran and Mr. Gunn at the helm of DC, I’m really excited. There’s a lot of cool things to come and one of my dreams is going to come true under their leadership, so stay tuned !”
The actor didn’t want to reveal any more. However, it has been speculated that Momoa may have been referring to a new Justice League film.
Who is the mysterious Maestro?
Additionally, the Aquaman actor released a euphoric video in which he talks about “some of the best news [seines] life” happen.
But even here he shrouded himself in hints and mysteries, only declaring that November 6th should be remembered as a great day for everyone. In addition, he thanked a certain “Maestro” at the end.
Here, too, there is no connection so far. It’s rumored that The Flash’s director, Andy Muschietti, was nicknamed “The Maestro” during filming. Whoever it is, definitely deserves Momoa’s overwhelming gratitude. So we can be curious to see what is currently happening in the background at Warner.
