The biggest football event will take place in Qatar this year. All eyes are watching who will be able to be the best among the best in a match that is predicted to be fierce. One thing that’s interesting, considering that it was built using the most accurate data possible in the name of a more realistic real-world simulation, EA also often uses this moment to show off their abilities – which is to predict who will come out as the winner of the 2022 World Cup later. This time, they chose Argentina.
Using the 2022 World Cup mode embedded in FIFA 23, which of course contains data on the strength of players who are formulated as accurately as possible. EA predicts that Argentina will win the 2022 World Cup by beating Brazil in the Final with a score of 1-0. This final match will be achieved by Argentina after beating France in the semi-finals first. EA also predicts that Lionel Messi will win the Golden Boot with at least 8 goals in 7 matches.
Through the simulation they run, EA predicts Argentina as the winner of the 2022 World Cup.
Which is interesting? This isn’t the first time EA has done this. EA has made at least 3 predictions of the winner of the World Cup and all three of them ended up being accurate. They managed to predict that France won in 2018, Germany in 2014, and also Spain in 2010. However, unfortunately their predictions are not that sharp in other sports games such as the NFL or NHL.
What do you think? Believe Argentina will win the 2022 World Cup?
