God of War Ragnarok is a cross-gen project, as well known, and the new comparison video realized by Digital Foundry aims to shed some light on the way the game runs on PS5, PS4 Pro and PS4.
After analyzing the PS5 version of God of Wa Ragnarok, the English newspaper has seen fit to check how the title of Santa Monica Studio behaves on the different Sony platforms and what are the differences of the case.
As we already know, the graphics modes of God of War Ragnarok offer a wide range of possibilities, especially on PlayStation 5with true 4K at 30 fps (which becomes 40 at 120 Hz), dynamic 4K at 60 fps and finally 1440p at 120 fps.
On the PS4 base we have instead a native 1080p, therefore devoid of dynamic scalers, which sets a target of 30 frames and respects it in most cases; while on PS4 Pro it goes up to a resolution that goes up to 1656p for 30 fps and goes down to 1080p for a performance mode at 40-50 fps.
More details, of course, in our God of War Ragnarok review.
