Against the backdrop of the release of No Man’s Sky on Nintendo Switch, Hello Games has finally provided official confirmations about the release of the PS VR2 version of the exploration title.
If you remember correctly, the PS VR2 version of the game was announced at the State Of Play in June. However, the trailer mentioned a release scheduled for February 2022, an obvious mistake that immediately attracted the attention of the most attentive eyes. At the beginning of the week, some users of the PlayStation 5 store then noticed that the wording in the trailer has been changed, and the publication of the title in augmented reality is now scheduled for the first months of next year.
Curious to find out more, Eurogamer’s colleagues contacted the developers of Hello Games, who have confirmed that the new version of the game will be released on February 22, 2023, which is the launch day of PS VR2. This new version, according to the words of Sean Murray himself, will allow you to ‘immerse the player in completely new ways’, thanks also to the computational power of PlayStation 5 and the possibilities offered by the hardware of the new viewer made in Sony.
The latest update of No Man’s Sky also allowed the Hello Games title to expand further thanks to a series of interesting contents including:
an automatic save system; a new option to automatically sell assets without leaving the planet; custom matches.
