Some video games exist according to the “Live fast, die young” principle: months pass from the moment they are launched, sometimes flowing into a year or so, after which “online” sags so much that there is no point in further support and resource costs.
This is exactly what happened with the survival shooter Scavengers, which was released on Steam last spring under the early access program, but quickly died. Yesterday, developers from Midwinter Entertainment announced that they had decided to close the project. The corresponding decision will come into force on December 16, so Scavengers will never formally leave early access, having died, in fact, at a minor age.
