But the low price for chip manufacturers turned into modest profits and a lack of interest in the development of this line of business. On a global scale, the automotive market has not grown much in recent years, only the demand for electronic driver assistance systems and the constant connection of on-board systems to the global network stimulated an increase in the specific content of semiconductor components in the average car. In the general case, suppliers of automotive components for contract manufacturers were not already such valuable customers in terms of profit, so their needs were the last to worry about.
