Independent Polish studio Far From Home announced that it has decided to delay the release of survival game early access Forever Skies. We will not see the game this year, now it is expected to premiere in the first half of 2023.
As the developers explained, last month more than 80,000 players got acquainted with the demo version of the game. Many of them left constructive feedback and comments, and the creators of the game decided to take some of the criticism into account in order to lay a better foundation for the main mechanics.
In particular, the authors of the game decided to show how dangerous it is to be on the surface of the Earth, under a cloud of dust. The demo, and therefore the beginning of the game, does not explain this, since the action in them takes place entirely in the sky. And now the studio is going to test the “dusty” gameplay.
The developers will make sure that there is a proper level of variety of locations and that there are incentives to explore them, they will check the system for breaking and repairing the airship, and add more options for customizing its appearance. Also, from the very beginning, they plan to introduce a system of scientific research, so that it develops and expands during early access.
Some of the changes and improvements have already been implemented in the demo version, and you can get acquainted with it in Steam.
