The series of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm it has been standing still for some years, precisely since 2017, the year in which the collection was published Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy focused on the first three episodes. However, something seems to be moving about a new game in development.
Bandai Namco has in fact registered the trademark Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections in Europe: although there are no more precise details on what lies behind this name, the reference to the fighting series developed by CyberConnect2 it appears evident and therefore it cannot be excluded that the Japanese giant is working for the return of the brand in the short term. For the moment, however, it is a simple hypothesis, and it is not clear whether Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections will be a completely new game, a further collection of old episodes or a possible remastered or remake.
Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy aside, the last main chapter of the brand was Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4published in 2016 on PS4, Xbox One e PC to then be converted also on Nintendo Switch in 2020 (in this regard, here is our review of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 for Switch). The times could therefore be ripe for a new exponent of the franchise, and it cannot be excluded that Bandai Namco provides more details on the nature of the project that should be hidden behind the newly registered trademark.
