Forever Skies Delays Early Access Release After Fan Feedback The game is now coming out in the first half of 2023.
The Far from Home team has announced that the Early Access release of their sci-fi survival game Forever Skies will be pushed back from winter 2022 to the first half of 2023.
After more than 80,000 gamers played the Forever Skies demo within a week, the team received a wave of positive and constructive feedback, which they now want to implement in the game with the “Early Access” release.
Below is a full post detailing what else the team is adding and why. The post also includes a new set of screenshots of some of the new additions, such as the never-before-released Under the Dust section, as well as a look at the extensive customization and building capabilities of airships.
In short: Five core areas have been expanded, in addition to the new features for “Early Access”.

“Our vision of what the final version of the game should offer hasn’t changed much. On the other hand, the relationship between what we want to implement right now for Early Access and the content that is to be added later as an update has shifted significantly. We have been completely blown away by the amount of praise and attention our demo has received, so we want to deliver more content right from the start. The team collectively decided that they wanted to make an even better first impression with a bigger Early Access. But to make that possible, we need more time,” said Andrzej Blumenfeld, Head of Gameplay at Far From Home.
“We know that the first half of 2023 is not a very precise definition, but it is the best that we could agree on among ourselves. Our development team will set an exact release date once everyone there is happy with what we have to offer, rather than just picking an arbitrary date and releasing whatever we’ll be ready by then,” added Pawel Jawor, Brand Added manager at Far From Home.
Also, a new extended demo was recently released on Steam, where the team added various features that players have been asking for, as well as an extended timer in the open world exploration section.
