More than three and a half years after the release of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems will put the cover back on the table with Fire Emblem Engage. This is a new trailer, released today, which provides information on the many characters that players will be able to see when the title is released.

Fire Emblem Engage, the next installment in the saga
Expected for next January 20 exclusively on Nintendo Switch, Fire Emblem Engage is the next installment in the iconic turn-based role-playing game saga. This new opus was revealed in September during a Nintendo Direct rather loaded with announcements concerning Japanese role-playing games. It was also dated on this occasion. It will therefore be released three and a half years after Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the first episode hosted on Nintendo Switch which has won over the press and the public.
Fire Emblem : Three Houses
As indicated by the leaks that preceded the announcement, the protagonist seems to be the son of a dragon who must unite several rings or emblems. The latter have the power to summon characters from old games, as can be seen with the presence of Marth and Sigurd.
Ike, Lucina, Lyn… well-known faces on the program
Today at 3:00 p.m. sharp (a habit at Nintendo), a new Fire Emblem Engage trailer was released. Much longer than its predecessor, it exposes for three minutes the hero of the story but also new faces. The plot still seems hazy today, but it’s about a big evil dragon (Sombron) and an antagonist who also wants to make the twelve rings…which he also seems to be able to control at will.
It’s also an opportunity for fans of the saga (which began in Europe with the sixth episode Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken on Game Boy Advance) to see some familiar faces. We see Ike in combat, but also what seems to be Lady Lyndis (or Lyn), Roy (or even Eliwood?) as well as Lucina. Something to entice, first of all, Fire Emblem fans. Hoping to see a little more gameplay including exploration for future trailers.
