Game News God of War Ragnarok: Kratos addressed in all its aspects, as good a father as a warrior?

God of War Ragnarok was released in retail last week after years and years of waiting, picking up the famous story of Atreus and his father, Kratos. Precisely, this last character has just been entitled to his own little making-of.
To be Judge and party
In 2018, the God of War series took a completely different turn: that of Norse mythology, but also of action-RPG and exploration, with many main and side quests in support. Kratos too has changed a lot since his unfortunate exploits in ancient Greece, having taken a few years off and being a father again. To accompany this development, Santa Monica had chosen a brand new interpreter for its God of War: Christopher Judge.
Unsurprisingly, the actor famous in particular for his role as Teal’c in Stargate SG-1 is back in God of War Ragnarok and, again, he lends his voice but also his gestures to the protagonist. A long and powerful work of incarnation which is offered today a making-of of almost twelve minuteswatch it in our video player above.
Dad of War
These behind the scenes of development thus linger over the work of Christopher Judge and his relationship with Kratos… but also with the other actors on the set, including Sunny Suljicthe actor behind the character of Atreus since his first appearance on the show (who was then just a child).
Another little surprise we can see the Greek God voice actors in other parts of the world and their way of working on the character, while several important developers – like the stunt coordinator – are also interviewed.
In short, a making-of to see if you like Ragnarok which, we remind you, has been available on PS5 and PS4 for a few days. And it is also nominated among the “best games of the year” at the next Game Awards 2022 ceremony… in competition with other titans released in 2022.
