The award will take place in 2023, and the following games and expansions that were released from October 2021 until September 30 of the current year will compete for the award (although there is one exception):

The release date limit does not allow you to be a nominee, for example, God of War: Ragnarok or A Plague Tale: Requiem. Although, for example Elder Ring, Metal: Hellsinger, Xenoblade Chronicles 3who claim the award for the best music on The Game Awards 2022could have been included in the list.
