Unfortunately or fortunately, Batman Arkham is still the best of superhero games but, nevertheless, the Warner Bros Montréal team has released what on paper was supposed to be an innovative superhero production of a stagnant game genre: Gotham Knights.
Gotham Knights has been on the market for several weeks now, receiving a somewhat fluctuating reception also due to the long discussions which, together with the launch of A Plague Tale Requiem, have marked a brief “moment of crisis” as regards the perception of the users of the latest generation consoles – especially as regards Xbox Series S -. The development team continued to work in the background on the improvement of their product, trying to revive a videogame experience whose existing potential has not been able to satisfy the real expectations of the users.
Just in the desire to improve the adventure put on the plate by Gotham Knights, Warner Bros has just released a new corrective patch for the PC version of the game. The update in question has a total weight of 1.3GB and the excessive weight depends on the long series of bug fixes and, more generally, on the substantial “stability fix” developed by the entire team. The considerable weight of the patch could lead to think that with the new update for the PC version improvements are made to the technical sector of production. However, the latest update does not improve game performance.
The latest update of Gotham Knights does not favor performance above the quality standard imposed since day one for the entire production, despite the amount of MB required by one’s memory could – previously – be traced back to a performance fix . However, as mentioned above, this is not the case. However, the improvements made are different and below we refer you to the list of patch notes:
Fix for Batcycle “Cosmi” coloring. At first, it wasn’t unlocked properly by players Fixed rewards for Historia Strigidae items Improved Batarang tracking system Improved localization of community posts Fixed player’s login function Fixed function animation of the modchip, even when hovering over the selected modchip Change to keyboard and mouse scrolling in the settings menu, followed by a fix to the switch setup switching when switching from keyboard and mouse to controller Changed the UI in the “skills menu” item of the settings Fixed FSR 2.0 not applying correctly Improved the appearance of “connection lost” Game stability improvements Fixed application crashes Fixed cursor flickering
Batman’s legacy has been able to convince us with reservations, as we told you in the course of the Gotham Knights review.
