On Thursday, November 17, the postponed match of the 1st round of the Ukrainian Premier League will take place, in which Ingulets and Dynamo Kiev will meet. Petrivtsi will be the nominal hosts of the field, because the match will be held at the club stadium of their rivals.
In the last round of the national championship, the Petrovsky team lost to Metalist 1925 Kharkiv and dropped to the last position in the standings. This meeting was the last for Sergei Lavrinenko at the helm of Ingulets. “Football is always emotions and patience! But patience eventually ends. I think not only for me, but for all the fans of the club. Therefore, I decided to say goodbye to Sergei Lavrinenko and give new, promising people the opportunity to prove themselves, ”the president of the Petrovsky club, Alexander Povoroznyuk, justified the coaching resignation.
Mladen Bartulovich, who worked in Lavrinenko’s coaching staff, will act as the coach of the Red-Yellows. The new coach has no time to build up, because right away he will have to pass a serious test. “Let’s fight Dynamo!” Nothing to fear! We will go out and play, ”the Croat said briefly about the next match. By the way, Bartulovich is the third Croatian coach in the Ukrainian Premier League. Earlier, Ivan Katalinich (Metallurg Zaporozhye) and Igor Jovicevich (Karpaty, Dnipro-1, Shakhtar) appeared in our league. As for Lavrinenko, he brought Ingulets to the elite of Ukrainian football and spent 53 matches at the helm of the Petrovsky team.
Despite their unenviable standings, the Red-Yellows managed to record two sensational results. They took the first points from Dnipro-1, which is the leader in the tournament, and defeated Zorya Lugansk. But if in matches with the favorites the Petrovtsy are doing well, then with rivals at a lower level, the players of Ingulets do not demonstrate the proper attitude and motivation. Hence the deplorable result, which forced the team’s management to make changes on the coaching bridge. Perhaps Bartulovich will be able to stabilize the squad, because in previous matches Lavrinenko did not find the optimal combination of players.
It seemed that after an unsuccessful stretch, the Kievans began to reach their usual level, which was confirmed by a confident victory over the strong Oleksandriya. But in the match with Kolos, we again saw the insecure Dynamo, which is not able to snatch victory from a competently defending opponent at the expense of class. Another inexpressive match was held by centerback Denis Popov, who left his team in the minority in the middle of the second half. Naturally, Popov will not play against Ingulets because of the disqualification, as well as Sergei Sidorchuk, who went through yellow cards in previous matches.
But on Thursday, Vladislav Vanat, who was serving a suspension in the match against Kolos, will be able to enter the field. Artem Besedin was again at the forefront of Kiev’s attack, once again leaving the field without a goal scored. By the way, the forward, from whom Dynamo fans are looking forward to performance, previously distinguished himself at the gates of Ingulets. In April 2021, Besedin’s goal helped the White-Blues defeat Petrovtsy 5-0. That goal is the last for Artem in the Kyiv club!
A positive moment for the White-Blues is the return of Buschan and Dubinchak, who have recovered from injuries. By the way, the Dynamo fans recognized the goalkeeper as the best player of their team in the meeting with the Kovalevites. Bushchan played his 48th dry match as part of the Kyiv club and entered the Top 3 of the most reliable goalkeepers of Kiev during the independence of Ukraine. Georgiy is only ahead of Boyko and Shovkovsky in this indicator. The duel against Kolos became memorable (in the context of statistics, not the result) for Vladimir Shepelev, who played the 200th match in his career.
“Ingulets” and “Dynamo” had three full-time duels: two victories were won by the people of Kiev and one meeting ended in a draw (goal difference – 8:1 in favor of the “white-blue”). Just in the last unfinished season, Petrovka took away points from more eminent rivals. It is interesting that then nominally the home match “Ingulets” also held in Kyiv. In the second half of that meeting, the people of Kiev opened the scoring thanks to an own goal by Mikhail Shishka, and soon the result was equalized by Ilya Kovalenko. Note that the mentioned players have already left Ingulets. That meeting is also notable for the fact that Bartulovich, a football player, who will now lead Ingulets as a mentor, took part in it.
Forecast for confrontation
The Kievans are extremely unstable this season, but it is hard to believe that they will misfire in a duel with an outsider. And it is unlikely that Dynamo will play such a toothless second match in a row. There is also a question about the psychological state of the Petrovites: it is unlikely that the resignation of the long-term coach of the team cheered them up. Therefore, we bet on a confident victory of the Kyiv club.
