Nvidia has presented eagerly awaited figures. A sharp drop in sales and profits was expected in advance, but it wasn’t quite as bad as feared. For the Geforce gaming area, however, there is no all-clear for the time being, despite exuberant comments on the RTX 4000.

But first the hard numbers. Revenue for the third quarter ended October 30th at Nvidia. ended ended up at $5.93 billion, down 17 percent year-on-year and 12 percent sequentially. The net profit looked different: Nvidia was even 4 percent above the previous quarter, but 72 percent below the profit of the comparable quarter of the previous year.
