Development of the Perfect Dark reboot at Crystal Dynamics is going very well, according to Embracer Group.
The Embracer Group provided information on the development of the Perfect Dark Reboot at its quarterly conference. The game is being developed with Xbox Game Studio The Initiative in partnership with Crystal Dynamics. The latter belongs to Embracer after the acquisition this year.
Phil Rogers, CEO of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos, said work on the iconic Perfect Dark is going very well.
Rogers continued, “Internally, it has been very encouraging to see our team embracing this new way of working. As we think about the future of how we work, collaboration across studios, time zones, countries and companies will become more and more natural. So it’s great to see how well the team at The Initiative and our team at Crystal Studios are working together.”
Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, said in September that it’s been a long time since games were developed solely under one roof. The opportunity to work with the veterans of Crystal Dynamics was therefore immediately taken.
