As we have said several times, the launch of the new Ryzen 7000 processors has not enjoyed the expected success on the part of AMD. After all, despite the price maintenance, the platform switch seems to have alienated consumers, who apparently cannot see a significant gain in performance when switching from a Ryzen 3000 or 5000 to one of the new Ryzen 7000s. platform, we also have to think about changing the motherboard, and of course, RAM memory!).
Therefore, as AMD needs to start shipping stock, in addition to the launch of new cheaper Ryzen 7000 processors (non-X), we also have some price cuts on the most powerful models, and therefore, the most desired.
AMD has already started to lower the prices of the Ryzen 7000
So do you like the Ryzen 9 7950X? Several stores are putting the processor on sale for €669 in Europe. Which means a discount of almost €200 (~€180), during Black Friday.
However, this is not the only processor to suffer a price drop, as the Ryzen 9 7900X also dropped to €550 (from €669), and the Ryzen 7 7700X is now available at €410 (from €479) . If you are interested in the mid-range Ryzen 5 7600X, this has also dropped in price by €59, now costing €299.
We don’t know if this is a Black Friday campaign, or something that’s here to stay. Since another price drop is expected in the current stock of Ryzen 5000 processors, and of course, the launch of new Ryzen 7000 processors, without X in the name, that is, a little more limited in energy consumption, and OC capacity.
Also, what do you think about all this? A good move on AMD’s part, or is it insufficient? Share your opinion with us in the comments box below.
