Xiaomi is one of the most popular smartphone brands in the world. This is due to its vast portfolio, which includes affordable models with good specifications in all segments of this market.
But in recent years, the Chinese brand has also been improving its top-of-the-range models and in 2022 there are three premium series that stand out among Xiaomi’s many models.

In July of this year, the Chinese brand presented the Xiaomi 12S series that includes three terminals: the 12S, 12S Pro and the star of the company Xiaomi 12S Ultra. This series also stands out for the collaboration of the well-known brand Leica in the development of the optical part of the models.
The three models house the processor inside Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 paired with from to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM memory and up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
Now let’s get to the differences. The base model is equipped with a battery of 4.500 mAh with fast charging 67 watts while the 12S Pro has a larger battery of 4.600 mAh and fast charging support 120 watts🇧🇷 In turn, the 12S Ultra has the largest battery of the three, 4.860 mAhbut you stop at the fast charging of 67 watts.
More differences registered in the optics. The 12S has triple rear cameras of 50 megapixelsas well as the 12S Pro model, however the latter integrates the sensor Sony IMX707 1/1.28 inches in size.
But when it comes to photography, the 12S Ultra is the star of the series with the lens system Leica Summicron integrated into the rear panel. More: its triple rear camera configuration has as its primary sensor the Sony IMX989 one inch in size and 50 megapixels of resolution.
This is complemented by an ultrawide of 48 megapixels and even a periscope telephoto sensor with 48 megapixels and 5x optical zoom.
The three models of the 12S series run MIUI 13 under the Android 12 operating system, but it is already known that they are eligible for the big update to the new interface MIUI 14 e Android 13🇧🇷 Unfortunately, this series is only available in the Chinese market.
We now move on to the other series that deserves to be highlighted this year, the 12T which is available globally. This generation includes the 12T and 12T Pro models that have many arguments to stand out in the brand’s vast portfolio.
The base model has the processor Dimensity 8100 to the commands and with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM memory and up to 256 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The Xiaomi 12T Pro is equipped with the chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which, in turn, is paired with from to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM memory and also 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Both models have robust batteries of 5.000 mAh with fast charging support 120 watts.
And there is no better series for photography enthusiasts. The 12T integrates a sensor of 108 megapixels with optical image stabilization, an ultra wide angle with eight megapixels and even a macro sensor with two megapixels of resolution.
Lights focused on the 12T Pro because this was the first smartphone from Xiaomi to integrate a sensor of 200 megapixels🇧🇷 Both the ultrawide and macro sensor present have eight and two megapixels of resolution respectively.
The two models are available in Portugal through the Xiaomi Store and both are now at a promotional price. O 12T Pro costs 799.99 euros instead of 849.99 euros. already the base model is 8% off and costs 599.99 euros instead of 649.99 euros.
Closing the year 2022, the Chinese brand will reveal its new top series Xiaomi 14. Yes, it looks like the number 13 will be eliminated from this family of premium smartphones to “avoid” the bad luck associated with the number.
But commercial designations aside, this is one of the most relevant launches of the year for the brand. Unfortunately, the global market will only receive the new models in the first quarter of 2023, but the Chinese market will receive them even before Christmas.
According to the latest rumors, the presentation of the new series will take place on the first day of December.
As for the specifications, it is already known that the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will arrive equipped with the processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and with from until 12 GB of RAM memory.
In the optical part, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will be more advanced, presenting the primary sensor Sony IMX989 an inch and 50 megapixel sensor plus an ultra wide angle sensor and a telephoto sensor, both equally with a resolution of 50 megapixels.
This Pro model will also have a screen of 6.7 inches 2K resolution and variable refresh rate between 1 and 120Hzplus a battery 4.800 mAh with fast charging support 120 watts.
