Lies of P is expected for 2023, but at the moment it does not yet have a well-defined release date. However, this situation could change soon since, during an interview with the Japanese portal 4Gamerhe director Choi Ji-Won provided an important update on the progress of the works.
The promising Soulslike Action/RPG developed by Neowiz it would in fact be in the final stage of development: Ji-Won explains that last August he revealed that the work was already 70% complete, and that since then his team has made further considerable progress. The developers are in fact dealing with the finishing touches, such as solving any bugs and refining some gameplay and content details. The bulk of the production, however, is practically ready.
Ji-Won also adds that he is very confident about the impact that Lies of P will have in terms of settings and atmospheres, underlining how so far no game has consistently focused on Belle Epoque French, also confirming that having taken inspiration from the history of Pinocchio for the game it was very useful to attract the attention of the public more easily. Finally, the director reveals that he wanted to create a single player only product as it was his very first approach to the genre, choosing for this reason to leave out any multiplayer components.
Neowiz seems to have big plans with the IP, given that future projects related to Lies of P are already being thought of. For the moment, a definitive release date is awaited, which at this point could arrive any moment other. We also recall that Lies of P will be quite long-lived, promising at least 30 hours of gameplay.
