A few weeks after the announcement of the date and price of PlayStation VR2, a video appears on the net that bears witness to the incredible Finger Tracking accuracy of Sony’s new Virtual Reality viewer in contexts such as the one offered by the PS5 exclusive adventure Horizon Call of the Mountain.
The clip, coming from one of the press previews recently organized by the Japanese tech giant, shows how precise the system implemented by Sony in the PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers is for translating the movements made by the single fingers of the hand into videogame inputs.
In fact, both controllers take advantage of the ring located in the lower part of the pad both to be detected by Sony’s new ‘wonder helmet’ and to carry out the real-time finger detection in the neighboring three-dimensional space, without obliging users to memorize the position of further keys. All this is even more evident in the clip that shows the journalist interacting with the elements on the screen without exerting pressure on the positioning areas of the thumbs, forefinger and central fingers.
PlayStation VR2 is expected to go on sale in February 22, 2023 at the recommended price of 599.99 euros. Horizon Call of the Mountain, the new sci-fi experience from Guerrilla Games set in the universe known to all fans of Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, will also be available from February 22nd.
