The deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard is currently under investigation in the UK and the EU. It also appears to have some difficulty in the US, where the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which is considering a merger, has still not made a decision.
According to Nytimes, more than 10 FTC employees in the US are now considering a deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. In late summer and autumn, they interviewed the heads of companies involved in the deal, including Satya Nadella. In a sign that Microsoft may have trouble getting through U.S. inspections, Nytimes sources (two people) said the regulator recently asked other companies to provide sworn statements to express their concerns about the merger.
Recall that at the moment it is known about two regions where the deal was tested: Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
