According to reports from Jez Corden, IO Interactive, the software house known for the Hitman series, would have partnered with Microsoft to create Project Dragon, a fantasy MMO based on dragons. New possible details about the title are now emerging, which seem to confirm its multiplayer nature.
Already the previous rumors stated that Project Dragon will be a game destined to last 10 years, and the new information seems to confirm the long-term project of IO Interactive. The job posting mentions that the developer is currently working on a titolo multiplayer, in line with what emerged previously. It also appears that one will also be included in the game solid monetization strategy, since the Danish firm is looking for an expert on the subject. The candidate in question will be expected to “create blueprints for features that support the monetization strategy. Provides ideas and improvement suggestions for monetization features.”
With the Hitman series we have never seen the addition of microtransactions, only DLC and expansions. Considering that we are talking about a ten-year project, however, the introduction of a more robust monetization strategy that it can support the project in the long term is far from excluded.
At the moment there are no further details in this regard, and we just have to wait for any updates from IO Interactive.
