More and more games are using the opportunity to gamble across platforms and that’s a good thing. This has been announced for Rainbow Six: Siege for a long time, but now there is finally a concrete date.
Not that crossplay and cross-progression are new in Rainbow Six: Siege, between PC, Stadia and Luna it has worked so far – well, they are all PC-based platforms. But now console players can finally enjoy it. Ubisoft announced more than a year ago that it wanted to introduce these features.
Now the date for the introduction has finally been set. On December 6th, crossplay and cross-progression will be available to Playstation and Xbox players as part of Year 7’s Operation Solar Raid.
Beginning December 6th, console players across all platforms will be able to access their progression, currencies and other items simply by logging into their accounts. You can also team up with friends on other consoles via Ubisoft Connect. Of course, it’s possible to opt out of crossplay if you want to.
Of course, Rainbow Six Siege: Year 7 Season 4 – Operation Solar Raid brings other features with it. This includes the new operator Solis, who enters the fray with new tools. In addition, there is the new map Nighthaven Labs, the new Ranked 2.0 system and a revision of the Battle Pass system, which, similar to Fortnite and Modern Warfare 2, allows non-linear progress instead of the usual two tier systems.
