Avoiding the 30% cut that is usually a condition of selling on a platform, including Steam, is why many publishers offered their own game launchers a few years ago. On paper it sounds like a brilliant idea, especially if he has a franchise of a million people which is loved by so many fans. But in practice? Regardless of the various efforts made, almost all PC gamers still end up relying on Steam. This has made many publishers who had avoided Steam now end up returning. One of them? Ubisoft.
After having only released their PC games via the Ubisoft Store and also the Epic Games Store where they had boasted about profitable reciprocity due to the small chunks taken, Ubisoft is finally officially selling their PC games via Steam again! As previously circulated rumors, Ubisoft will bring three games first – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800, and Roller Champions. Valhalla will arrive on Steam on December 6, 2022 along with its final update.
Ubisoft PC games are officially back on Steam!
Ubisoft itself last released their latest game on Steam on April 30 2019, when they released Starlink: Battle for Atlas. How about you? Interested in glancing at Ubisoft’s games again after they returned to Steam?
