Do you have any plans for this evening? If not (or even if it is), we have an idea. CD Projekt RED is showing the first gameplay of the new-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as part of a live stream.
It was with great pleasure that we recently heard that the upgrade to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt should finally be released on December 14th. Tonight you can finally get your first taste of the New Gen version. As part of a live stream, the free upgrade is to be presented extensively tonight at 6 p.m.

Or as Global Community Director Marcin Momot put it bluntly on Twitter: “Don’t miss it – we’ll be talking about all the juicy details you want to hear!” The stream will consist of a recorded video that will be shown on CD Projekt RED’s Twitch channel and will later be available as a VOD on YouTube.
The free upgrade for last-gen owners, coming December 14, aims to bring the game into the new generation and will include numerous visual overhauls, including ray-tracing effects. Of course, the PC version will also receive a free revision at the same time. If you don’t have the game yet, you can also purchase it as a Complete Collection with all DLCs. Parallel to the release, a new DLC will also come into play, which will bring content from the Netflix series into play.
So The Witcher is alive and well. Aside from the new-gen version, there’s already a new trilogy in the works, as well as another new Witcher game. However, it should still be quite a while before we see the first concrete information about the games, some of which are only in the concept phase. A remake of the first The Witcher is also in the works. Apart from that, the spin-off series The Witcher: Blood Origin also starts on Netflix on December 25th and stars Michelle Yeoh. The third season of The Witcher will follow in the summer of 2023, with David Cavill as Geralt for the last time.
