11/24/2022 at 13:41 by Jonathan Harsch – In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players can transform into Superman thanks to a bug. Not literally, but at least it’s possible to zoom through the air as fast as the Man of Steel.
To this day, Superman fans are still waiting for a really successful adaptation of the game. No, unfortunately there is no news on the rumored title from Rocksteady. Instead, it’s about a glitch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which some may already know from CoD: Advanced Warfare. This is the so-called Superman Bug, which allows players to fly through the air at high speeds like the superhero. Since the avatars also stretch their hands out in front, the comparison with the man of steel is quite obvious.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 | Battle royale has never been so extensive
This is what the Superman bug looks like in practice
Various clips are circulating on the web that show the bug in the execution. Players jump meters in the air or receive a significant speed boost that offers a clear advantage. It’s especially fun when several players use the bug at the same time and soldiers rush past left and right on the screen. Unfortunately, it is not possible to determine exactly how the exploit can be triggered. Apparently, objects on the map play a role that can be used as a kind of ski jump.
Also worth reading:
The bug is not yet on the official list of known bugs. One reason could be that all CoD studios are currently dealing with the elimination of problems in the Warzone 2.0 that has just been released. Even the Battle Royale is not free from errors. Maybe Activision will eventually turn the Superman bug into a Call of Duty with superheroes. Until then, the community will have to be content with game bugs that make such superhuman maneuvers possible.
