A truly effective robot vacuum
To use the vacuum, you need to download the Roborock app and add the device. For its configuration, the device will create a map of your home to delimit areas that we will be able to transform into rooms (kitchen, bedroom, living room, etc.). During our tests, we found that the Roborock S7 manages to map precisely, which offers faultless cleaning. This allows you to decide which rooms you want to clean or not in advance, but also to create “invisible walls”, which are places he is not allowed to cross (stairs for example, to prevent it from falling).
This is indeed the case since no matter the surface: hard floor, package, carpet, this robot vacuum cleaner is impeccable. It also has the good taste of being quite powerful, which avoids having dust remaining on the ground. Especially since he navigates zigzagging, which allows him not to miss anything. It can obviously avoid obstacles thanks to its sensors.
The price to pay: it is quite slow and quite noisy since you can exceed 65 dB. But since it’s a robot and it’s autonomous, you can very well launch it without being at home. With the Roborock S7, a maximum area of 300 m² can be cleaned.
The Roborock S7 can also mop the floor
Another advantage: its mop and its cleaning system with water without the need for detergent. Here too, the Roborock S7 excels. Just attach the mop to the back and go. The device is equipped with an artificial intelligence that can detect different surfaces thanks to its sensors. The mopping cycle can be carried out on a maximum area of 200 m².
As for autonomy, this is unfortunately not the strong point of this model (it cannot have everything). The manufacturer indicates an endurance of three hours without the mop, but we had measured 1:30 to 1:45. On the charging side, it takes more than 2h15, it will sometimes be necessary to be patient. Note that a dump station is sold separately at 299 euros. The Roborock S7 can automatically empty itself into this station to increase dust storage.
