We still have to wait almost a year for Dune: Part Two to start in cinemas. Filming is currently taking place again in the deserts of Abu Dhabi. Actress Zendaya, who shared a picture of the desert landscape and herself on Instagram, gives us a little foretaste. The 26-year-old will also slip back into the role of Chani in the sequel. Anyone who has already seen Part 1 of the Dune reboot will surely remember that Zendaya doesn’t appear very often in the film.
More Chani screentime in the sequel
We already know that director Denis Villeneuve has planned many more scenes with Zendaya in Dune: Part Two. She will star alongside Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin and Stellan Skarsgård, who will return in their roles from Part 1. However, the sequel will also bring some new actors on board.
Who else is in Dune: Part Two?
Among the newcomers, for example, is Florence Pugh, who will appear in the sequel as Princess Irulan. Léa Seydoux takes on the role of Lady Margot Fenring. Christopher Walken (The Emperor) and Austin Butler (Feyd Rautha) will also join the cast of Dune: Part Two. We have included the mentioned picture of Zendaya on the set in Abu Dhabi below.
