Vivo, a brand of Telefónica Brasil, intends to increase the sustainability in the delivery of products commercialized through the operator’s online canvas based on the expansion of its suppliers engaged with measures in favor of the defense of the environment in the logistic service encompassing from the withdrawal in the warehouse to the delivery.
Among the companies committed to the ESG footprint is the São Paulo startup Carbono Zero Courrier, which performs 100% sustainable logistics through bikes, cars and electric motorcycles. According to information, in less than 12 months the deliveries made by the company avoided the emission of 14 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
Regarding this, Vivo’s goal is to have at least 30% of suppliers with this proposal by 2025, discouraging the emission of gases that stimulate the greenhouse effect in shipments. The company also operates with a dedicated electric vehicle through its own logistics operator, TLOG, which works to expand this operating model with its other customers.
In addition to this measure, the operator also carries out other sustainability actions by adopting efficient environmental management, reducing negative impacts on Earth while valuing the experience of consumers. “We want to be protagonists and play an active role in raising awareness and promoting responsible consumption”, points out Vivo.
