There is currently the assumption that this year Epic will give you numerous free games at Christmas time. While 2019 had 12 free games up its sleeve at that time, it was 15 games each in the two following years. And according to the leaker “billbil-kun”, this ceremony will be repeated in 2022. Specifically, this time the campaign is to take place from December 15, 2022 to January 10, 2023. However, it is currently not known which titles are actually on the list. Last year we reported extensively on the multitude of free titles around the holidays. Among the highlights were games like Control, Second Extinction and Loop Hero. But even without a holiday mood, the Epic Games Store offers free games at regular intervals. We recently reported on the current campaign for Star Wars Squadrons. You can download the title for free in the store until December 1, 2022. The following week, Fort-Triumph, a strategy game, will follow as a free copy.
Where did the statement come from?
The leaker made his statement on the French website Dealabs. Specifically, he was asked under one of his articles whether and when the Christmas campaign would return. This is by no means his first leak. “billbil-kun” had already announced a lot of information for the last Christmas campaign. Videogameschronicle emphasizes that he has also leaked promotions from the Playstation Store and Xbox Game Pass in the past.
